Kevin Johnson
Is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, tattooing, large-scale murals, and design. As the owner and lead artist of Heavy Horse Tattoo, his work is grounded in strong composition, thoughtful mark making, and a deep respect for craft across all mediums.
As a painter, Kevin is primarily inspired by nature and travel, often exploring landscape, movement, and atmosphere. His practice is informed by vipassana meditation, which brings patience and presence into his creative process, as well as his ongoing study of traditional Asian art and aesthetics. Influenced by Impressionism, his paintings capture moments with land, light, and place.
